Thank you So much for your intake of the evening in the company of Bob and the Boyz... how Wonderful you made it sound! I feel that he has expanded his list to encompass all the songs, great and small, so that nothing is stale, and every song gets another chance. He loves to mix up the melody and the words..which is his right as he is the author. People that get hung up on lyrics written in stone may as well see those stones fall into the river, for hes never been one to repeat himself. I would like to see lyrics of how he changed up Dignity, for the downloaded mp3 is somewhat muddied by the venue. Ill have to listen harder. I cant believe i got number one today. It feels good. Best of all..it brought our team up in the standings..and hey, the tour is very young my friend. There is plenty of time for your picks to come up. The way things look..it may not be long.:)

Hi everybody and a very Happy Birthday to you, redwing! Hope you have a big party: Turning 50 is agood reason to celebrate in style. Me, I still have 3 years till that date. Anyway, as a present I'll give you a short report on last night's show. After a 4hr ride with lots of traffic jams, I managed to arrive in time to get a tour book and two posters (had to get two since they came in two different colors! This is the only place where I can openly admit that ;-) ), and a sausage. I had a good seat in the side wing opposite of Bob. Couldn't have had a better view. The concert itself was fantastic, even though they didn't play any of my most favorite songs. The sound was very good, with Bob's keyboard very up in the mix. It sounded like a Hammond organ and really did contribute to the sound and groove of the band. Very nice! The crowd was very appreciative, so the overall mood was very good, and Bob seemed to enjoy the show, too. Highlights were Man in Me with Bob crooning center stage without a guitar; Tom Thumb's Blues, where his voice reached deeep down for a low growl like a tigress calling her kittens; John Brown and Masters of War with their spooky arrangements; and Shooting Star with Bob again taking center stage before returning to the keyboard for the ending. The light effects for that song were very effective. They had the srage lights dimmed, and only a lot of small light dots projected onto the back curtain - like a starry sky. Spine-tingling!!! After two hours we got the final bows of the band and the show was over. I decided not to take the long trip home since I was abit exhausted fro cheering and singing, but decided to stay with my in-laws who live 25 miles south of Hannover. This morning I had a good "flight" home for a little late work start. But that was okay. I hope I didn't bore you with my ramblings, and hope that you'll get a chance to see Bob Later this year. By that time he'll probably play something from the new album. Did you get the download of the new single? Only negative is that Bob plays way too few of my picks ;-) Hope he'll do better next time!

Hi, thanks for drafting me. Unfortunately I had some Internet trouble of late, so my joker tip got lost, and I haven't been able to post here. So far, my picks haven't been the best. Oh well, at least I get to see the man live and in person tomorrow night in Hannover. Hope I made everybody jealous ;-)

Hi, redwing, Welcome. bdbabe and I are old friends, Foreign Service Officers (she still active, me now retired), hence the name of the team which she came up with in an earlier guise on the old pool. We both do blogs if you're interested in knowing a bit more about your teammates -- hers much the more interesting is at http://otheryesterday.blogspot.com/ and mine is http://innycnow.blogspot.com/ I drafted the other members based on their user names -- you were a twofer -- Walls of Redwing is a favorite bob song and the Detroit Red Wings are my hockey team. Although I didn't pick it this time, I want bob to get back to opening his concerts with Absolutely Sweet Marie -- a killer way to introduce an evening in my view. Good luck to all.
